At long last, the man himself - SHRI - (of Badmarsh & Shri fame) is releasing new material. This guy is a brilliant multi-instrumentalist and composer, and he’s the one Asian producer whose sound is deep, soulful, expressive and damn funky.

He was just on Bobby & Nihal’s BBC show and his new album East Rain comes out in October. The tracks I’ve heard so far sound amazing. Sadly he doesn’t seem to have any plans to tour the US, so we stateside folks will have to wait.
